Preferenza FAQs


1. How can I become a member of Preferenza?

Every existing DAVIDS Footwear customer is automatically a member of Preferenza. In order to redeem credits accumulated on your account, you need to register, and accept the Terms & Conditions.


2. How do I earn points?

You earn Points when you make a merchandise purchase at DAVIDS Footwear or Present your Preferenza card or digital wallet to ensure that all qualifying points are posted to your account.


3. I was a member of the Club Preferenza Program. What happens to my points earned from that program?

Upon activation into the new Preferenza program, your points balance from your previous account will be automatically transferred to your new Preferenza account.


4. Where can I find my points balance?

Your total number of points and available credits are included on your DAVIDS receipt, or by logging into and viewing your online account at


5. How many points do I earn per dollar?

Your earning potential is based on year-to-date spending at DAVIDS Footwear.

6. Do I need to spend to program tier annual spend ranges in order to maintain my program status?

Yes. Every February 1st will re-set customer program tier status based on the previous 12 month spend.


7. Where can I earn Preferenza points?

You can earn when you present your Preferenza card (digital or physical) in-store at DAVIDS Footwear, or by entering your Preferenza account number for your online purchases online at


8. How soon will the store transaction show up in my online account?

Your online account will be updated overnight. Purchases made at will be reflected once the item has shipped.


9. How can I use the points that I’ve earned?

You can use your points once you’ve accumulated 5,000 or more points. 5,000 points = $50. Minimum redemption is 5,000 points ($50) and then in 1,000 point increments ($10) thereafter. You can use them against a purchase made instore or online at See Terms & Conditions for any restrictions.


10. I don’t have my card with me – can I still use my credits?

We require you to have your physical or digital card with you to redeem points in-store.


11. Do I need a card to accumulate my Points?

In order to ensure the right account is credited with your purchase, we ask that you present your physical or digital card on each and every in-store transaction.


12. Can I get a spouse or partner card?

We are not currently offering this option.


13. Can I have both digital and physical cards?

Yes, and they will accumulate points to the same account.


14. Why do I need to register?

We need to ensure that you understand and agree to the Terms & Conditions of the program. As you are now accumulating points towards purchases, we need to ensure that you are fully aware of all aspects of the program.


15. Why do you need my email address?

Email is the prime communication vehicle for Preferenza. We want to ensure that you are receiving full and accurate information about the program. You will receive monthly statement emails regarding your account, including your program tier status, point balance and available credits that you may redeem. We do not sell or rent your email address to any other party


16. I would like to unsubscribe. Do I lose my points and my account?

You continue to earn points, however, once you unsubscribe to emails we will no longer be able to update you on the status of your Preferena membership, or provide you with special offers from DAVIDS Footwear or Preferenza. You will no longer be able to redeem points.


17. Do my points expire?

Your points will only expire if you do not make a purchase or have a redemption transaction within 24 consecutive months. We will send an email reminding you of the points you have earned and that they will expire 2 to 3 months in advance of their expiration date.


18. Can I transfer my Points?

No. Your points are your own, to be used on your own account.


19. My tier is not correct. Who do I contact?

20. I seem to have 2 accounts – under different eMail accounts. Does that impact my Points earning?

Yes, it may reduce your Points earning power. Please contact us at any of the options listed at If you are emailing us please provide details of both accounts along with the eMail account you would like to use going forward and we will merge them for you.


21. It looks like my Points were calculated incorrectly. How do I get that corrected?

Please contact us at any of the options listed at with your member number and any available details. We will look into this within 48 hours.


22. Gift Cards – Can I use my points to purchase a gift card?

Yes, you can use Points to pay for gift cards, shipping, alterations, etc.


23. If I use a gift card to make a purchase do I get points?

Yes points are awarded when using a gift card as a method of payment. You do not earn points when you make the gift card purchase.


24. I lost my Preferenza card. How can I get a new one sent to me?

Log in to your account at, go to your “Preferenza Rewards” page. At the bottom of the page select “Mail me a card”. Please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery.


25. I’d like to download the digital wallet. How can I do that?

Log in to your account at, go to your “Preferenza Rewards” page. At the bottom of the page select “Download Digital Card”. Follow the instruction as provided to you.
